Overview

Supercritical Fluid Centre (SFC) is a collaboration project between Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) and Malaysian Biotechnology Corporation (BiotechCorp).

UPM has been appointed as the Custodian for SFC as Platform Technology to be Licensed from FeyeCon Development & Implementation B.V. under the Biotechnology Acquisition Programme by BiotechCorp. Feyecon is a technology solutions provider on supercritical fluid extraction and particle formation technologies.

SFC is a one-stop research centre containing equipments related to green technology, specifically the supercritical carbon dioxide (SC-CO2) technology used in extraction process located in the Faculty of Food Science and Technology, UPM Serdang.

Our purpose is to provide comprehensive assistance to the beginner and established green technology and natural product entrepreneurs, thus promoting sustainable economic development of the community and its surrounding areas.

Potential clients for the SFC are entrepreneurs from industries such as food, nutraceuticals, halal ingredients, herbal, spice products and pharmaceutical ingredients.
